Welcome to the website of GYP, the Global Young Professionals network of the World Federation of United Nations Associations.
Several United Nations Associations (UNAs) have active young professionals programmes and GYP exists to connect these programmes, but also to promote/support the creation of new young professionals programmes in UNAs around the world.
UNAs operate as members of the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA).
GYP was formally created in 2006 at the 38th WFUNA Plenary Assembly in Buenos Aires, Argentina by a group of young representatives from several UNAs, including those of the Dominican Republic, Netherlands, Tanzania, UK and USA.
Further strengthened in 2009 at the 39th WFUNA Plenary Assembly in Seoul, Republic of Korea, GYP continues to develop as a body and to promote the creation of young professionals programmes amoungst WFUNA’s global network of United Nations Associations.

On this site you will be able to find links to established young professionals programmes, enabling you to see some of their activities and details of how to sign-up if you are in or will be visiting the relevant country.
We will also provide links to their Facebook pages, LinkedIn groups, Flickr photo streams and any other social networking tools that they may use.
We also hope to soon be able to provide resources to help individuals who would like to work with their local UNAs to set-up their own young professionals programme.
